The Literacy Volunteers of Livingston County will sponsor a special event, Reading Mystery Between the Wines, Sunday, Oct. 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Deer Run Winery, 3772 West Lake Rd., Geneseo.

A mystery author panel will include Aaron Paul Lazar from Groveland, Charles Benoit of Fairport and Gary Craig from Rochester.

Lazar is known for his LaGarde Mystery series of 11 books. Benoit started writing in Kuwait with his first title “Relative Danger,” nominated for the Edgar Allen Poe Award. Investigative reporter Gary Craig wrote “Seven Million,” a tale of an IRA rebel and the Rochester Brinks heist.

Each author has been nominated for mystery writing honors.

Donations are $25 per ticket, payable to LVA-Livingston County, 3 Mount Morris-Leicester Rd., Leicester NY 14481. Tickets will be mailed. There is a limit of 50 reservations.

Donations will help hundreds of County residents improve their reading and writing skills.
