Lights music and action will fill Northern Colorado this week. Check out these fun things to do.

Festival of Lights

The Festival of Lights will usher in the holiday season in downtown Loveland at 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30.

Ebenezer Scrooge will host the tree lighting at 7 p.m.

The event also includes a candlelit caroling procession on Fourth Street, from Railroad Avenue to the main stage. There also will be music, visits by Santa and Mrs. Claus, a family-friendly area with entertainment for kids, "holiday spirits" beer garden, carriage and wagon rides, a local pop-up art market and more.

Acoustic Eidolon will present "A Million Miles of Music & Story" at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1.

Acoustic Eidolon will present "A Million Miles of Music & Story" at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1, at the Rialto Theater Center, 228 E. Fourth St.

Joe and Hannah Alkire blend the sounds of a double-neck guitjo and cello to create music with rock, Celtic, flamenco and Americana influences.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students.

Loveland Orchestra

The Loveland Orchestra will present a community sing-along to Handel's "Messiah" at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at the Good Shepherd Church, 3429 N. Monroe Ave.

A pre-concert lecture will start at 7 p.m. with music starting at 7:30 p.m.

La Primavera and Pasta

The Loveland High School Choir Department will hold its annual La Primavera and Pasta event at 6-8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at the school, 920 W. 29th St.

Enjoy dinner out with entertainment by choir students, including a look at the spring production of "Shrek The Musical," as well as a silent auction.

All proceeds benefit the Loveland High School Choir Department to be used for festival costs, field trips, master classes, the musical theater production and to assist students attending the spring break New York City trip.

Tickets are $20 for ages 13 and up, $12 ages 12 and under or $100 for a table of six.

Holiday Bazaar

Group Publishing, 1515 Cascade Ave., will hold a Holiday Bazaar at 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30.

More than 30 local artisans will offer jewelry, hats, Christmas decorations, jam, pottery, magnets, crocheted items, calendars, pet products and more.

Admission is free.

Foothills Tree For All

Kick-off the holiday season at the annual Foothills Tree For All at 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the First National Bank Exhibition Hall at the Ranch, 5280 Arena Circle.

The event will feature 50 uniquely decorated table-top Christmas trees or wreaths, with merchandise valued up to $500 that will be raffled off after the lunch buffet. The trees and wreaths have been donated by individuals, groups or businesses that will be raffled off during the event. Proceeds benefit Foothills Gateway Inc. and the Namaqua Center.

Event tickets are $40 and include a lunch buffet, door prizes and parking lot shuttle service. Tickets can be purchased at Cloz to Home, 120 E. Fourth St.; Rowe's Flowers, 863 N. Cleveland Ave.; or Thompson Valley Liquor, 1195 Eagle Drive.

Arts and Crafts Festival

The city of Loveland will hold an Arts and Crafts Winter Festival at 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2, at Fairgrounds Park, 700 S. Railroad Ave.

The event will include arts and crafts sales, live music, food trucks, family games, a chance for photos with Santa (bring your own camera) and a hot chocolate bar.

Vi Wickam and Friends

The Vi Wickam and Friends Christmas Show will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Rialto Theater Center, 228 E. Fourth St.

The holiday showcase features the Loveland resident and nationally recognized fiddle player and vocalist along with special guest Paul Chet.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors or veterans and $15 for children.

Loveland Concert Band
