Can you believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner? It's time to start preparing for the biggest meal of the year, and this weekend offers plenty of chances to do so in Kansas City, from pie and bread to arguably the most important part of the meal: Wine.

Saturday

How to Enjoy Green Teas at Emilie's French Teas

"What is green tea? Where is it mainly produced and consumed? Highlights on different varieties of green teas. How to best brew a cup of green tea. The science of flavor and taste." From 9am to 10am. Tickets are $20, available here.

Pre-Thanksgiving Tasting at Underdog Wine Co.

"Come get the Holidays started early this year with Underdog Wine Co. - Union Hill, as we pour eight different wines perfect for your Thanksgiving table! Barrel-Aged Wine Tasting with the Winemaker at Fence Stile Vineyards & Winery

"Join Fence Stile owner-winemaker Shriti Plimpton for the exclusive opportunity to taste select samples of barrel-aged wine and port drawn from the barrel. Guests join Shriti in the wine cave and learn about the winemaking and barrel-aging process. Sample wine from up to a dozen barrels, such as Norton aged in J.
