Wine tasting evening gastronomy Scholarship

OTTUMWA — The Indian Hills Community College Foundation next month will host Women Supporting Women, an effort that began back in 2010. Since its inception, this event has raised over $73,000 and the Foundation is now able to award three scholarships to non-traditional female students attending Indian Hills.

There is still time to register for the Oct. 4 event that will include an evening of friendship, food and wine tasting. A $100 contribution to the IHCC Foundation Women Supporting Women scholarship will garner an invite to the culinary cuisine dinner where appropriate wine pairings will accompany each course of the meal.

The evening will also include a brief presentation from a past recipient of the Women Supporting Women scholarship on how the scholarship impacted their education and their life. This is one of the most inspiring moments of the evening.

The cocktail hour and wine tasting begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30.

Registrations will stay open until noon on Oct. 3, and if women want to register after that they can call Alison Hite at 641-683-5101.
