Two EE’s Winery, 6808 U.S.-24, Huntington, will host a special event Thursday, May 17, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. to raise funds for Our Turn to Serve and raise awareness of its services to veterans.

Guests will enjoy live music by Rosalind and the Way, wine, appetizers and a silent auction. Veterans who have been helped by service dogs funded by OTTS will be present to tell their stories.

Our Turn To Serve is a non-profit organization in Fort Wayne that helps veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Our Turn To Serve matches veterans with specially trained service dogs. OTTS carefully selects the dogs from local shelters, matching the temperament and personality of the dog with the veteran for whom the dog will be trained.

Trained service dogs have been shown to assist veterans by providing companionship and emotional support. They also perform tasks that assist veterans in achieving a better quality of life.

Our Turn To Serve works with Fort Wayne-based certified service dog trainer Mike Rowland. Rowland works with the veteran and the dog to develop a relationship between the two that helps the veteran deal with the effects of PTSD.
